FEI

Founded in 1921 and located in Lausanne (SUI), the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) is the international governing body for seven equestrian disciplines worldwide: Jumping, Dressage & Para-Equestrian Dressage, Eventing, Driving & Para-Equestrian Driving, Endurance, Vaulting and Reining. Equestrian sport has been on the Olympic programme since 1912 and on the Paralympic programme since 1996. The sport, although diverse when it comes to the different disciplines, is very united when it comes to the values and lifestyle it vehicles: good horsemanship, equality (men and women compete as equals) and fair-play. There are over 4,200 international events annually with over 120,000 registered horses and riders, drivers and vaulters competing internationally. Within this growing landscape, the FEI is dedicated to pursuing excellence both on and off the field and continues to innovate to provide the best of the sport to all the fans around the globe. The FEI is proud to have a unique presence in the sports community today, with #TwoHearts – the human athlete and the equine athlete – competing together as one, and works hand in hand working with the 134 National Federations, thousands of officials, volunteers and athletes from grass roots all the way to the world stage.
